Deactivating Product Visibility rules
If you uninstall Wholesale Club without deactivating Product Visibility rules, products targeted in your rules will remain hidden and you’ll need to contact our support team for assistance.
Before doing anything else, it’s very important to deactivate any Product Visibility rules you’ve created. This can be done on your Product Visibility page by clicking the Deactivate all rules button. Click here for more information on Product Visibility.
You can skip this step if you don’t have any active Product Visibility rules or don’t use this feature.
Closing your account
To cancel your account and stop incurring any more charges, all you need to do is remove Wholesale Club from your Shopify admin. Click here for step-by-step instructions from Shopify on removing apps from your admin.
Once Wholesale Club is removed from your Shopify admin, your account will be closed and you won’t incur any further charges.
App charges on Shopify work in 30-day billing cycles and charges are applied at the beginning of a cycle. This means that when you uninstall an app after a new billing cycle has begun you may see a final charge for that app come in on your next Shopify invoice.
Leftover theme code
Wholesale Club’s Theme Setup tool installs code in your theme in order for the app to work, and this code isn’t automatically removed when you uninstall Wholesale Club from your Shopify admin. If you don't take any action to make sure your theme is free of leftover code when uninstalling an app, this could affect other apps you install in the future. There are a few different options for making sure you don’t have any leftover code from Wholesale Club after uninstalling:
Revert to original theme copy
When you initially used the Theme Setup tool to install Wholesale Club onto your theme, the app created a new theme copy for the install and left the original copy untouched. When uninstalling Wholesale Club, you can simply publish this original theme copy and you’ll be all set!
Contact our support team
If reverting to your original theme copy isn't an option, you can contact our support team for a manual uninstall of leftover code from Wholesale Club.
