This is an overview of how to manage your Notifications. The notifications are based on the actual orders that come through your store. In this article, find information on editing an order in a notification, checking what orders have been synced to the app, and ensuring a product image is appearing properly.
Syncing your orders
The most important piece to getting your notifications working is to sync them with your actual orders in your store. The app is designed to show your most recent orders by default, so it's important to have them synced.
If you're not seeing your most recent orders, make sure to click the 'Sync Orders' button in the top right corner.
If you're just setting things up, you will need to use the Sync Orders button in order to sync your orders into the app. Once you click this button you should see your actual store orders appear on the page. By default there are fifteen orders per page - if you want to view more on a page, you can adjust this by the dropdown menu.
Re-syncing your orders after product changes
You may notice after some time that your product image isn't showing correctly. If you've recently updated your products, use the Sync Orders button to make sure product information and images are up to date.
Upload orders
You can upload an orders CSV. This can be exported from your Orders section (within the Shopify admin) by following these instructions.
Editing notifications
Clicking on your notification will bring you to an editor. This will allow you to edit information specifically for that order, if you want it to vary from the information that came through the order details from the customer.
Content
You can use the Content section to input information that will be different than your default notification message. This means you can change the product name, as well as select a default City, Province/State, and Country for that specific notification.
Custom Message
After you have filled in your default variables for your Content, you can create your Custom message. You can add your preferred labels by clicking on the widgets in the order you prefer. Be aware that changing the widgets in this area will change the format only for the specific notification you are editing, and not the default variables that you have for all your notifications. If you would like to change the default format for all your notifications, you will need to do that in the Message section of your Settings menu.
Additional info
You can change any additional information for the chosen notification order, such as the Order ID, Product ID, Variant ID, and Variant Title.
Order ID
This will be the unique string of numbers that appear at the end of your order URL. To find the Order ID you can go to the specific customer order page in your Shopify Admin, and find the string of numbers at the end of the URL. For example
www.yoursite.com/admin/orders/orderIDhere.
Product ID
Similar to the Order ID, the Product ID is a unique string of numbers that appear at the end of the URL on the product page. To find the Product ID you can go to the specific product page on your site and find the string of numbers at the end of the URL. For example www.yoursite.com/products/ productIDhere.
Variant ID and variant title
If the notification includes a product with different variants, you can choose what variant you would like to appear in the notification in this section. For example, if the notification order was for a hat, which has variants of blue and red, you can choose which color you would like to appear!
You can find the Variant ID by going to the product page and selecting the specific variant you would like to add. The Variant ID is the string of numbers at the end of the URL, for example, www.yoursite.com/products/cute-hat?variant=variantIdhere.
