Adjust your Ultimate Special Offers settings for customers to use a Shopify discount code in addition to your offers. In the Multiple discounts section of the Settings page, enable the option to let customers use a discount code with Ultimate Special Offers and select whether you like Shopify discounts to be applied before or after your offers are applied. At this time, Ultimate Special Offers is not compatible with Shopify's Automatic discounts, Buy X Get Y discounts, or Free Shipping discounts.
When combining discounts, we recommend setting the app to Draft checkout mode in the Applying discounts section of your Settings page for stability.
Apply discounts before special offers:
If you select this option, the discount amount is calculated based on the original cart total, not the cart total that includes the discounts created by the app. For example, if a discount code requires a minimum purchase of $100 to be valid, the original cart total is used and the cart total seen by the customer (which includes special offers) will not need to meet the $100 requirement. It’s a great way to create buzz-worthy sales for your customers!
Apply discounts after special offers:
If you select this option, discounts are applied to the cart total that is created with special offers included. If the original cart total is $100 but becomes $80 after special offers are applied, a percentage discount will be calculated based on the $80 cart total. If you're using a Goal offer or Gift offer, the customer will be eligible for the offer even if their cart total dips below the spend goal after the Shopify discount is applied.
Lastly, by clicking the checkbox Let customers choose to use a discount code instead of Ultimate Special Offers, you can allow customers to choose between your offer or your discount code. When this setting is selected, a checkbox will show beside the discount code box in the cart allowing the customer to only use the discount code.
By default, the app applies single offers, but you can manually set this to multiple! For example, a storewide 10% discount offer won't apply its discount with a Buy X Get Y for 50% discount offer. If you're interested in allowing multiple offers to be allowed to discount the same product or collection, you can enable the settings for the specific offer type by checking the corresponding check box next to the offer.
A great example of how this can be useful would be a holiday sale. Creating an offer for holiday products would allow you to further discount existing offers by a certain amount without manually modifying each existing offer. After the holiday sale is over, all you would need to do is turn off the offer, and all the prices would go back to their regular discounted amount.
