Discount
The Discount offer is a straightforward offer type where customers receive a discount on certain products. This offer is applied at the product level, which means that you’ll see the discount reflected in the product line item on the cart page. The Discount offer is advertised on the storefront by means of banners on collection pages and product pages.
Volume
The Volume offer applies a discount when customers buy certain quantities of an item. This offer applies at the product level, and you’ll see the discount reflected in line items as well as the cart total. Progress and success messages will also show within the line item, and a Volume table appears on product pages to give customers details on the offer.
Goal
The Goal offer gives customers a discount when they spend a certain amount. This offer applies at the cart total level, meaning you’ll only see the discount reflected in the cart total summary and not the cart line items. The progress message will show within the line item, and once the offer is redeemed a success message will be shown in the cart total summary and as a banner on the cart page. The Goal offer is also advertised on the storefront by means of banners on collection pages and product pages.
Bulk
The Bulk offer gives customers a discount when they purchase a certain quantity of an item. This offer is applied at the cart level and the discount is reflected in the cart total summary only. Banners will show on product and collection pages to inform customers of the details of the offer, and success messages will show in a banner as well as the cart total summary.
BOGO
The BOGO offer gives customers a discount on an item when they add a different trigger item to the cart. This offer applies at the cart level and the discount is reflected in the cart total summary only. Banners are shown on product and collection pages, and a popup is displayed on the cart page when a trigger item is added to the cart. When a customer adds an offer item from the popup, the discount is reflected in the cart total summary and a success banner is shown.
Bundle
The Bundle offer gives customers a discount when they buy certain items together. This offer applies at the cart level and the discount is reflected in the cart total summary only. If each item included in a bundle is an individual product, a bundle widget will show on those product pages where customers can add the entire bundle to the cart. Otherwise, an upsell popup will show on the cart page when a bundle item is added. Once the bundle is redeemed, a success banner can be shown in the cart.
Gift
A customer needs to meet a specific spend goal to redeem a Gift offer. Once that spend goal is reached, a popup is shown on the cart page where a customer can claim the free gift. Gift offers apply at the product level, and the discount will be reflected in the line item on the cart page. Banners are also shown on product, collection, and cart pages.
Upsell
The Upsell offer promotes products when certain items are added to the cart. This is a simple promotion and doesn’t apply any discounts. When a customer adds a qualifying item to the cart, a popup is shown containing the upsell item.
Post-Purchase Upsell
The Post-Purchase Upsell works a little differently than other offers since it takes place after customers have completed the checkout for their initial order. Once a customer has proceeded through the checkout past the payment stage, a banner will show alerting them to the offer and the Post-Purchase widget will show the upsell details. Customers can add the upsell item to their order or decline the offer.
